Wednesday 13th August 2008 Blog (Ian Bruce, Jirobei)

The cast and crew all arrived back in hull and ready for action on Thursday. We had a meeting and then all departed to start rehearsing. Due to a smaller theatre venue than those in Hull and Japan where we had performed previously, we had to reblock big parts of the play for the Greenside Theatre in Edinburgh. The actors also had to get used to the changes in the script, so our first few days have been spent enforcing the changes to suit the new theatre. The Tech team are also having to make amendments to the stage setting. After re-blocking we went over whole scenes running them for speed. During the last few days some actors have also had individual rehearsals with Masako. These were really useful as they helped us continue to improve the play and prepare us for Edinburgh!
